KAPEKS bulk explosives are specially designed with the end user in mind. Our holistic approach to safety, environmental responsibility and efficiency guides the formulation of our products. We also take into account local environmental conditions, geological variations and site-specific impacts. In KAPEKS bulk operations, the key factors are our own custom-designed bulk mixing and charging trucks/units, along with specialized product formulations tailored for both open-pit and underground applications. KAPEKS bulk products also include specially manufactured bulk emulsions designed for rock formations containing reactive sulfides.

With the use of bulk explosives :

The presence of high-explosive products on site is significantly reduced, as only boosters and detonators need to be stored. The product delivers higher performance by providing more energy per meter inside the blast hole. The hole is fully charged without voids, and any water present in the hole is displaced by the water-resistant product. Bulk products are environmentally friendly, as they leave no contaminated packaging that would require disposal.

Bulk products provide savings in drilling costs and enable better blast design through higher energy per linear meter, thicker burden, wider hole spacing and increased tonnage per hole. All of these advantages translate into reduced machine time and lower consumable usage.
