KAPEKS ANFO-S

BOOSTER SENSITIVE EMULSION EXPLOSIVE

About the Product

KAPEKS ANFO·S is a highdensity booster sensitive explosive producedby mixing ANFO and emulsion for charging the up holesin underground mines. Thanks to its high viscosity and sticky nature, it can be charged into the up holes without falling down with the effect of gravity. This provides a continuous charge throughout the entire hole length and ensures the desired powder factors.

Product Features

  • Provides a superior performance in all types of rock due to its high breakage.
  • Provides an optimum charge distribution throughout the hole due to its free flowing nature.
  • lts charging processis very fast and simple.
  • It shouldbe charged with specially designed charging units.
  • When stored properly, it hasa 1 (one) year long shelf life since the date of manufacture.
  • At the end of its shelf life,it decomposes completely to harmless materials.

Ignition Information

KAPEKS ANFO-S is initiated withcap sensitive explosives. In order to get optimum blasting performance the diameter of the cap sensitive explosive should be as close as to the diameter of the blasthole. In order for KAPEKS ANF0-5 to reach its steady velocity of detonation, length of the cap sensitive explosive should also be sufficient and length of the cartridge should be five times its diameter. When KAPEKS ANF0-S is charged to blastholes pneumatically, care should be taken to use an anti-static hose. Usually used in medium to large diameter holes. It is not efficient in holes smaller than 70mm diameter. Furthermore, it is not advised to initiate these small diameter holes using detonating cord.
