About the Product
KAPEKS Nova 80-70, cap sensitive packaged emulsion explosive is an economic, versatile and water resistant emulsion explosive which has been designed for use at surlace and underground blasting applications. It is a chemically stable, sturdy product which provides superior perlormance and a safe working environment lor mining, quarrying and construction works. It has been especially formulated lor breaking the rock with a high shock energy.
Product Features
- It is especially suitable lor improving fragmentation at hard and massive rock types. The high detonation velocity makes it an ideal prime, for the lnitiation of ANFO andother booster sensitive bulk explosives.
- It can be used in presplit applications by using 10 gr/m detonating cord or other all types of special applications.
- It has high shock and heave energy.
- lts application is ideal for holes with water and moisture. Thanks to its high resistance to water, its perlormance is not affected.
- It is relatively safer than the nitroglycerin based explosives lor accidental initiations by shock, friction or mechanical impacts.
- When stored properly, it has a 1 (one) year long shelf life since the date of manufacture.
- At the end of its shelf life,it decomposes completely to harmless materials.
Ignition Information
KAPEKS Nova 80-70 cap sensitive explosives which are manufactured at different diameters could be initiated any type of detonators with #8 strength or detonating cords with minimum 1O gr/m charge. lf it is initiated with detonator,it is highly recommended to insert the detonator into the bottom cartridge with its tip towards the charging direction. If it is initiated by detonating cord, insert the tip ol the cord into the cartridge and ensure keeping the cordfirmly in contact with the cartridge.
Packaging Description
KAPEKS Nova 80-70 cap sensitive explosives aremanufactured as both sides clipped high density polyethylene cartridges at below listed cartridge sizes. Each box is barcoded and each cartridge is marked with a serial number lor traceability. These cartridges are packed in 20 kg reinlorced cardboard boxes.
