About the Product
Kapeks Nova AG is a permissible cap sensitive packaged emulsion explosive which is an economic, versatile and water resistant emulsion explosive which has been formulated for use in undergorund coal mining operations. It is a sturdy and chemically stable product which provides superior performance and a safe working environment.
Usage
Kapeks Nova AG is a product tested and approved by an independent testing institution with a charge of 1kg/ hole in a cloud of 9.5% methane and 75 micron coal dust. it can be used safely in underground coal mines where these conditions exist. Usage and quantities can be limited according to local regulations and rules, local restrictions must be checked before use.
Product Features
- lts water based formula does not contain dangerous chemicals such as nitroglycerin or TNT; due to its special formula, it is suitable for underground coal mines with the risks of methane and coal dust.
- It is ideal for use in wet or moist holes; these conditions in difficult underground operations do not affect its performance.
- It is relatively safer than the nitroglycerin based explosives for accidental initiations by shock, friction or mechanical impacts.
- When stored properly, it has a 1 (one) year long shelf life without any performance loss.
- At the end of its shelf life, it decomposes completely to harmless materials.
Ignition Information
Kapeks Nova AG is a cap-sensitive, permissible emulsion explosive produced in cartridges of various diameters and can be initiated by standard cap-sensitive copper detonators with No. 8 strength.
